NLM Continues Funding Community-Based AIDS Outreach

In September, the National Library of Medicine announced the twelfth round of funding for its AIDS Community Information Outreach Project covering 18 community-based organizations, patient advocacy groups, faith-based organizations, departments of health and libraries. Projects must involve one or more of the following information access categories: information retrieval; skills development; Internet access; resource development; and document access.

New Resource Page Aids Katrina Recovery

A new, post-Hurricane Katrina resource page by the National Library of Medicine’s Specialized Information Services (SIS) Division spotlights information on environmental problems resulting from the storm and ensuing flood damage.
