First responders to hazardous material (Hazmat) incidents, such as chemical spills, can now easily connect to WISER thanks to new software, developed by the National Library of Medicine’s Division of Specialized Information Services (SIS). WISER enables first responders to customize their Personal Digital Assistants (PDA) for easy navigation and quick access to key information. A Web version, WebWiser, also joins the existing PDA and PC desktop applications.
