Sheldon Kotzin, who has served in a variety of capacities since joining the National Library of Medicine in 1968, most recently as head of the Bibliographic Services Division, was tapped in August to be the new head of Library Operations by Director Donald A.B. Lindberg, MD.

He was also executive editor of MEDLINE, and Administrator of the Literature Selection Technical Review Committee (LSTRC).
