Dr. Clement McDonald, a distinguished physician-scientist and one of America’s top experts in electronic health record systems, joined the NLM in September as the new Director of the National Library of Medicine’s Lister Hill National Center for Biomedical Communications (LHNCBC).

He was previously Regenstrief Professor of Medical Informatics at the Indiana University School of Medicine and Director of the Regenstrief Institute for Health Care, a privately endowed research organization internationally renowned for the study of health-care quality and economic issues.
