Physicians can now steer patients to up-to-date, consumer-friendly information relating to those topics on the Genetics Home Reference, courtesy of NLM’s Health Information Rx program on newborn screening and related genetic disorders.

The site includes a richly illustrated tutorial on the basics of genetics and specific information on more than 500 genetics topics. Says NLM Director Donald Lindberg, MD, “This program saves time, improves doctors’ communications with patients and helps keep babies healthy.”
