In September, seven NLM Associates, including an International Fellow from Nigeria, began internships with the NLM Associate Fellowship Program, which is open to recent graduates of ALA-accredited master’s degree programs in library and information science. The 2007-2008 Associate Fellows are:

• Brenda Linares (MLIS 2007 from UCLA)
• Joanna Karpinski (MLIS 2007 from Drexel University)
• Kate Flewelling (MLIS 2007 from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee)
• Sarena Burgess (MSIS 2007 from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville)
• Melissa Resnick (MLS 2007 from Queens College)
• Emily Vardell (MLS 2007 from Texas Woman’s University)
• Grace Ajuwon (degree in librarianship1994 from the University of Ibadan). A resident of Nigeria, Ms. Ajuwon is participating in the program as an International Fellow.
