Opened in April, the National Library of Medicine’s new Disaster Information Management Research Center (DIMRC), offers quick access to disaster health information including preparedness, response, mitigation and recovery.
The new site contributes to NLM’s commitment to use library resources to collect, organize, and distribute health information covering natural, accidental, or deliberate disasters.
DIMRC will focus on providing disaster health information that is beneficial for public health officials, healthcare providers, special populations, and the public. The initial phase of the site will focus on NLM and NLM-supported resources and activities, but will expand to include other sources of disaster health information.
