Starting in October, the entire NationaI Institutes of Health campus in Bethesda, Maryland became tobacco-free. While smoking inside or in close proximity to NIH buildings has been forbidden for many years, the new regulations ban the use of cigarettes, cigars, pipes, smokeless tobacco and all other tobacco products anywhere on the Bethesda campus.
