New IHTSDO Groups Help SNOMED CT Users Develop Tool

The International Health Terminology Standards Organization (IHTSDO), recently announced the formation of two new groups, The Affiliate Forum and the Implementation Special Interest Group (SIG), to contribute to the ongoing development of the Systemized Nomenclature of Medicine Clinical Terms (SNOMED CT) systems.

The Forum will enable users worldwide to exchange information on how best to support the people and organizations using SNOMED CT. The SIG provides SNOMED CT users a forum for discussion and documentation of technical issues associated with SNOMED CT implementation.

For more information or to join the new groups e-mail support@ihtsdo.org.

The NLM is the US member of IHTSDO, which was formed in 2006 to develop and maintain international health terminology.
