The NLM’s traveling exhibition, Against the Odds: Making a Difference in Global Health, won a best exhibit blue ribbon at the American Public Health Association (APHA) 2008 meeting in November.
The shortened travel version of Against the Odds, which debuted at APHA, consists of a series of six-foot vertical banners highlighting individuals and communities who are helping to improve global health. It is available for loan to schools of public health, libraries, universities, and community organizations.
Schools of public health wishing to host the exhibit can contact the Association of Schools of Public Health, which is coordinating the tour with support from Partners in Information Access for the Public Health Work Force.
NLM is coordinating tours to all other interested universities, libraries, and community organizations. See NLM traveling exhibitions for more information. The full exhibit opened in April at the NLM, in Bethesda, MD, and will be on display into 2010.
