NLM to Invest $84 Million as Part of Recovery Reinvestment Act

The National Library of Medicine will invest more than $84 million in basic and applied biomedical informatics as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. The ARRA aims to jumpstart stagnant sections of the economy and create new jobs by addressing long-standing challenges. The NLM funds are part of the $10.4 billion the Recovery Act provided to the NIH through September 2010.
