TOXMAP, the popular National Library of Medicine interactive Web site pinpointing by city, state and zip code the amount and location of certain toxic chemicals released into the environment now offers the TOXMAP Widget. The widget allows users to enter a ZIP code and launch a TOXMAP search from a blog, wiki, or Web page, and the TOXMAP Toolbar enabling searches from a browser search box for Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) information, Superfund National Priorities List (NPL) sites by contaminant, or TRI facilities and Superfund NPL sites by ZIP code.
Mortality data has also been updated and TOXMAP News is using new software from Moveable Type to manage the site. Other TOXMAP updates include the ability to enter map descriptions to saved search results.
To add the TOXMAP Widget, you must be able to edit your Web page.
