Todd Danielson, who joined NLM as Executive Officer in 2005, has been appointed Associate Director for Administrative Management. He will also be a member of the Senior Executive Service.
In announcing the appointment, NLM Director Donald A.B. Lindberg, MD, praised Danielson as an able leader and trusted advisor to the NLM staff. “He has recruited outstanding people for important posts, managed the establishment and expansion of NLM’s Cooperative Acquisitions Center, overseen major enhancements to NLM facilities and the acquisition of additional space on and off the NIH campus, and guided NLM through the implementation of new administrative systems and requirements,” noted Lindberg.
As Associate Director for Administrative Management, Danielson will continue to direct NLM’s Office of Administration. With other senior NLM staffers, he will have an expanded role in policy and program development, implementation, and evaluation.
Prior to joining NLM, Danielson managed the National Cancer Institute’s Administrative Resource Center, and served at the NIH as a Presidential Management Intern. He has a BA in Social Sciences from the University of Pittsburgh and an MS in Business Administration from the Boston University Overseas Program, in Heidelberg, Germany.
