Dee Clarkin was appointed head, Collection Access Section (CAS), Public Services Division, in November 2009. The Collection Access Section manages a document delivery network of over 3,000 biomedical libraries in the US, Canada and abroad, controlling distribution of 1.8 million interlibrary loan requests annually.  The Section also manages DOCLINE, an automated request routing and referral system.

Prior to her appointment, Clarkin headed the Onsite Unit in CAS, which manages the circulation department and is responsible for the closed stack operation, and for fulfilling patron requests from the main Reading Room.
