NLM Welcomes New Board Members

The National Library of Medicine Board of Regents’ new members:

Alessandro Acquisti, PhD, professor of information systems and public policy at Carnegie Mellon University’s Heinz College and member of Carnegie Mellon CyLab. His research focuses on the economics of privacy.

Daniel Masys, MD, affiliate professor of biomedical and health informatics at the University of Washington School of Medicine. Dr. Masys previously chaired the department of biomedical informatics at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine.

Jill Taylor, PhD, director of the Wadsworth Center, New York State Department of Health. Dr. Taylor, whose background is in public health research, is responsible for the day-to-day functioning of the Biggs Laboratory in Albany, NY.

The NLM Board of Regents serves as the advisory body to HHS, NIH and NLM on aspects of policy regarding the Library and is the final review body for NLM’s extramural grant program. The Board meets three times a year in February, May and September.
