Earlier this month, we were singing “Data, Data, Data” to the tune of “The Dreidel Song.” Now, we can be heard putting an NLM twist on the holiday classic “Jingle Bells.”
N-L-M
to tune of “Jingle Bells”
Dashing through the stacks,
Retrieving as we go.
We scan and cart and prep to bind
While shouting “Ho, ho, ho!”
Visible Humans dance
And the bust of Lister Hill sings.
Our magic isn’t just research
But in so many things!
N-L-M! N-L-M!
Rings as our refrain.
We all enjoy this lively place
Which challenges the brain.
J-S-B! J-S-B!
What would Billings say?
To see his Surgeon General libe
Take off in such a way!
Be sure to keep reading NLM in Focus. In January, look for a lighthearted view of what’s in and what’s out for 2019 and find out why—to borrow a phrase from the award-winning musical Hamilton—the Library is the room where it happened. Plus, we’ll have more profiles of scientists at NLM.
